Talking about idol, I am not really big crazy fans of super idols though I also admire some really handsome Taiwanese Guys from those famous soap. Yet, I have an all time favourite band as idol who is really inspiring in my early teenage time. Back to the days when I was Form 3, one day when I go back home, I find a new double CD at the shelf which is a cover version bought from China when my dad still had his business in mainland. Driven by curiosity, and being so obsessed about english study at that time, I immediately plugged it into the Sansui CD player and found that most of the songs are those I have heard from somewhere else and I could hum the tune myself as well! Later knowing from my mom that it is Beatles who was famous for their ‘mushroom’ like hair style and the songs are great hits! After that, I started to studied the lyric by listening to every single songs everyday again and again while I’m doing homework. And that is also the time when I trained up the skill to do multiple things simultaneously (starting by listening to the song, singing together, and doing homework). Didn’t like to hang out with friends at that time, I sticked to Jade channel all the time during weekend and have chances to watched ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ and ‘Help!’ which I tape-recorded it and watch again for so many times during every long school vacation.
The jounry of exploration of Beatles started there and I think I was really obsessed at that time and like the Pop Band performance a lot imagining Paul McCartney playing his Guitar left-handed. The scene of him playing in front of the mirror to show how he plays to George Harrison by the reflection for right-handed person also replayed in my mind when I see people performing. I even started to like Oasis cuz he resembled a lot of Beatles. I’m not sure if this is crazy, but I find a place in Wong Tai Sin that sold stationary and at the same time selling Handkerchief of Beales in the theme of ‘A Hard Day’s Night’. I bought a couple of them and didn’t use it for once! I went to library and borrowed books about them and read the Biography of Paul McCartney. When I am older, I have more chance to save money and bought a couple of CD album of them. I told myself at that time I would buy each and everyone of them when I earn my own money.
Of course I didn’t buy all of them as I find their music direction changed and it becomes a bit too wild for me when they entered into the late 70s and early 80s and of course, the showing up of Yoko Ono made it different. When do I get less obsessed? I didn’t really continue this craze as when I get older, I hang out with my friends to Karaoke, and I can’t really live with just ‘Beatles’. And then I got more school work and other things and didn’t really dig out things about Beatles as before. Haven’t talked so much about Bruisy on Beatles, let me share some special picks from me of them if you are interested to know more about them :
The Beatles :
John Lenon (the soul of the band, guitarist, song writer and very artistic in style)
Paul McCartney (another soul of the band, guitarist, left handed, song writer as well, famous for the song – Yesterday and comparatively commercial in style in my own interpretation only, no offence, I’m big fans of his)
Geoge Harrison (lead guitarist, youngest of all, quite timid and seldom sing)
Ringo Starr (last to join the band being the drummer, didn’t sing a lot, with his symbol of the big nose)

My Favourite Album : A Hard Day’s Night
My Favourite Songs : If I Fell, Girl, Strawberry Field
Book about them : A Hard Day’s Write (A good book to understand more about the story of each song, you could also find which song is written by whom as most of the songs in CD Album are described as written by ‘Lennon-McCartney’)
Book about Paul McCartney : Paul McCartney: Many Years From Now (Paperback) You could know a lot about the forming of the band and some side stories including the story of John Lennon and how he left his first wife with Julian being left over.
